About Sheena

Hi! My name is Sheena and I am thrilled to be a newly appointed marriage commissioner in Edmonton, Alberta.

I was married in 2017 and my husband and I have been lucky to attend over twenty weddings together in Edmonton, Cochrane, Canmore, Waterton, Kelowna, Vancouver, Toronto and even one in Austria! I guess we are “at that age” and I never want it to stop!

I have lived in four provinces (Nova Scotia, Quebec, Ontario and now Alberta is definitely my forever home) and love to travel within and outside of Canada. The neatest places I have been would definitely be to Everest Basecamp in Nepal and the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.

I live in Edmonton with my husband and our adorable mini Australian Shepherd puppy. We love to hike and enjoy a glass of wine around our backyard campfire on summer nights. I work in the film and television industry and I have been a volunteer at BGCBigs (Boys and Girls Club/Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton & area) since 2009.

I am happy to marry any couple who is legal to be married in Alberta… whether you are looking for a traditional ceremony or something a little more outside of the box, let’s brainstorm and come up with the ceremony best suited to you and your partner. I will ensure the language we use in your ceremony is exactly what you are comfortable with.

If you are looking for a professional and fun officiant to be a part of your special day, please get in touch and we can chat about all the details.
