Meet your officiant

LOVE IS LOVE!
I am happy to marry any couple who is legal to be married in Alberta.

Sheena Wheadon is a Government of Alberta Authorized Marriage Commissioner for the Edmonton region.

Whether you are looking for a traditional ceremony or something a little more outside of the box, let’s come up with the ceremony best suited to you and your partner. I will ensure the language we use in your ceremony is exactly what you are comfortable with.

I was married in 2017 and live in Edmonton with my husband, our son James (aka JJ), and our “mini” Australian Shepherd Zeus. We have been lucky to attend dozens of weddings together in our 20s and now as an officiant I feel so lucky to get to be a part of all of your beautiful ceremonies!

While my more adventurous travel is on a brief pause (I have trekked Everest Basecamp & summitted Kilimanjaro, scuba dived in some of the most incredible places too), my adventurous spirit is not fading!

I previously had a long career in video production, and spent 10+ years volunteering with BGCBigs (Boys and Girls Club/Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton & area). I now have a very exciting communications/marketing job in addition to this incredible position as a marriage commissioner.

If you are looking for a professional and fun officiant to be a part of your special day, please get in touch and we can chat about all the details.
